Here's what she has to say about the community: "Sound Sea Village was originally a small hunt club community built around the local marina. Many residents and home owners have been coming here for generations to enjoy the local waterfowl (Duck) and wildlife. There are many full time residents and a mix of rental cottages. The three main roads all have ocean access and frequently transportation in the community consists of a golf cart. Over half the year you can drive on the beach and there is a gated access road. Residents walk to the friendly marina park at North Duck Water Sports on Ocean Bay Blvd. for their daily dose of sunset. Sunrise is a window or short walk away on this narrow strip of Outer Banks. Pets have to be leashed just during the summer months. The SSV homeowner’s association maintains the roads, trims trees and maintains the lookout beach bench that is oceanside. Mainly we just have holiday parties with about 20 families that again, have been a part of this community for years. Everyone is friendly and helpful and on a first name basis. Early evenings almost everyone is outside for that last walk or bit of porch time. SSV is a great place to live or visit." And that's what makes this such a special place.
